Re: [chile-heads] New Mexico

Dug,

That's fair. I have never been to NM, but I want to visit the whole
southwest (and every place else). I am aware of desert conditions: sand,
lots of sand. No, that isn't right! Everything I have ever heard about the
desert says that it is full of life, but not full of trees, etc. Why, then,
do so many people try to make desert areas into one big oasis? I know the
fights over water out west are worse than the fights over jobs in New York
(there aren't any!). Plus, chiles seem to fit in just right in NM. There
are so many hot sauce companies there.

I will take a big chance here and say, "New Mexico is probably the chile
capital of the USA."

NO FLAMES, please, it's just an opinion, that's all. Not even that: it's a
guess.
