Yes I have seen the kind in glass jars in the produce section that has fruit
already prepared to go.  I live in So. Calif. I imagine the fruit is imported
here from elsewhere.

I usually make my own green or preferably red hot salsa (don't care for store
bought), from dried chile peppers.  But I went into a restaurant of New
Mexican style and the owner gave me fruit salsa to try, I loved it, but think
it would go great with fish or pork better than with chips.

No on another note, with this list I can't understand why by default if I hit
the "reply" button I should get the Chile list address to send instead I get
the person posting's address, now I belong to other lists of various topics
and hitting reply the LIST address shows not the person posting.  Just
wondering why this is!
