Thanks to everybody who came to the SoCal hotluck. While our turnout may
not have been huge, we certainly managed to have a good time and got to
meet some new and entertaining folks. (I'msorry S. from Escondido
couldn't make it and I hope those muscle relaxants at least make you
forget about your back!)
For a small gathering (about a dozen) there was certainly a ton of
food -- it included two chilis (Andie's orange-peel and Gregg's),
Tadao's C3PO (curried chicken and what not), spicy chicken fingers,
habanero mustard potato salad, habanero horseradish cheese log, shrimp
ettouffe, spiced oatmeal bread, skillet cornbread, and tri-colored
twice-baked potatoes (if I forgot something I apologize). It was all
good and I'll be eating the leftovers for a week!
The only mistake was bringing out The Bread Jim Campbell sent right
at the start of the party. Naturally everybody descended on it. The
sampling was followed by sudden rush on the beer and soda supplies. The
problem was that affter that nothing else at the table tasted hot at
all! But at least we all earned our "I survived The Bread" buttons that
the Snyder's brought.
Hot's Desire has volunteered to post the recipes from the party,
provided the rest of us get off our butts and send them to him, so if
any of the above sounded interesting check out his site some time in the
future.

Again, thanks to everybody for coming!
