Hi Jim,

Friday 20/2/98, early morning, watching the 5000 m speedskating for women, 
Gunda setting a new world record: the first woman to break the 7 min barrier, 
11 seconds faster than the no. 2 - what excitement! Then, as the last pair 
get ready for the start, the doorbell rings; the postman, with a parcel: are 
you... yes, that's me, thank you, slam the door and back to watch Claudia go 
just .04 seconds faster again. Too much too much ...
Having recovered somewhat I remember the parcel, open it, and ...
thank you Jim! it was well worth the 4 month wait (just as well it wasn't a 
chunk of bread!)

all in all a day to be marked in multicoloured pencil
