Not really.  In the US, neither the product called "creme fraiche" nor the
product called "sour cream" match the French creme fraiche.  Your best bet
would be to get a book on soft cheeses/home fermented dairy products, and
make your own creme fraiche or substitute sour cream in the recipe.  The
latter would certainly be cheaper.
