Many thanbks to Stephen Tanner for his Yam Chili recepie. We tried it
last night (substituting canned red beans for the dried mixed beans in
his recipe and canned tomatos for the puree - what can I say. I was
huhgry and that"s what was in the house!)

Turned out more like a bean soup than a chile, but it was delicious! The
Yams gave a really nice sweet edge and a pleasant texture (they became a
liquid thickener)

We are not vegan so I topped mine with a dab of sour cream and a few
chopped green onions. Pretty and tasty.

Next time we will play with adding chipotle instead of chile powder.

BTW it would go VERY well with a nice cornbread.

Peace, love and peppers
