[CH] Can I use pine mulch?

I mulched my flower bed with pine mulch, and I have a few bags left
over. I'm wondering if it's ok to use pine mulch with my chili plants (
habs and serranos)?I treated them w ith miracle grow last week and they
responded very well, however so did the grass that was in the soil that
I had tilled up to make my chili patch.
So, what's the verdict?
