Please remember that the Chile-Heads list is not the place for non-chile
related material, in particular, virus warnings.

So, in hopes of heading this round of virus hoaxes off:

>FYI, the previous warning about a "WIN A HOLIDAY" virus is a hoax. The
>following information was obtained from the CIAC advisory page:
>---------
>WIN A HOLIDAY Hoax
>
>Circulating the Internet is e-mail messages entitle "WIN A HOLIDAY".
>These e-mail messages are a hoax and the false warning of a malicious e-mail
>does not exist. There is currently no virus that has the characteristic
>described in the message. The message is a variant of the "Join the
>Crew" hoax and another variant called "JUST WIN A HOLIDAY". CIAC recommends
>that you DO NOT pass the message to others.
>-----------
>
>If you want to check out the validity of any virus warning, look at the
>following web page for more information:
>
>This web page is compiled by Lawrence Livermore Natl. Laboratory, as
>part of the Computer Incident Advisory Capability (CIAC) under DOE. It is
>recommended that you do not chain-mail any "virus" warning without some
>degree of verification that a real threat exists.

Thanks

Mike
