For those who are plagued with ants, Organic Gardening had a recipe for
long-term ant control bait in the November/December 1997 issue.   It
really works.
They were also the source of the information about using a weak sugar
solution to attract beneficial, predatory insects, i.e., ladybugs, green
lacewings.   Some companies market  beneficial insect bait, but the weak
sugar solution works just as well.
