I too hate frames.  On topic -  I've decided to do most of my pepper
gardening in pots from now on.  Even though my bed garden is only 30 feet
from the back door, I'm finding that I have much better control over my
plants if they are potted and sitting on the deck.  My potted habs are
several inches taller than the ones in the bed.  I guess the TLC may come a
little easier when I'm immediately surround by El Grande's munificence.
