This is an open letter to Doug in BC.

Doug, what have you done to my wife?

I made your Curried Pork Tenderloin yesterday evening and it had a
very strange effect.

I made the curry as near as I could to your recipe. I served the
curry and waited to hear what she thought of it. What I did hear was
not so much words as, well, something like this (and I quote or as
near as I can get for primeval sounds)...

Ooooooh. Mmmmmm. Oh yes! This is .. whhhhhh. Phwaaaaaaah.

- you get the picture? Now I am getting a bit worried at this point.
I rush over to the recipe to see what could possibly be the cause of
such a reaction. Could it be that the recipe uses some of her
favourite ingredients - coconut, ginger, chiles and basil? Maybe
Doug has found a secret combination to entice the female of the
species? I know not. Until I tried some myself.

Doug, old chap, you have created a masterpiece here. It was
delicious. I don't know how long it took you to perfect this recipe
but it was time well spent. Does it have the same effect on your
wife?

I only changed a couple of things and those were by necessity as I
didn't have the ingredients. I used sherry instead of wine for the
marinade and a couple of cayennes instead of the hab. I did use GOOD
Madras curry powder (Rajah) as instructed even though I usually mix
my own spices.

If any CH's are curry fans I recommend you try Doug's recipe. But
watch out for the reaction you get!!!

It's in digest #143 if you're looking for it.

cheers,

David
