A few folks have asked about my call and the number for ChilePepper mag.  It's
th one listed in the fron of the mag as Customer Service.

1-800-767-9377 is the number I called.    The girl was pleasant but feeling
very harassed by the calls and many inquiries as to the continuation of the
magazine.  However, if I remember correctly they were purchased this past late
spring.  I would guess it is change of ,management/ownership/printer contracts
etc.

I work in the Mail Order Catalog business and it is much the same.  I headed
up the David Kay Catalog for Home and Garden for 5 years.  It was owned by the
largest Horticultural Mail order group in the country.  BOOM, they sold it,
what a mess, I consulted for the new owner in Omaha (ugh), left, it sold again
and who knows where it is now!  Such is the nature of that business.

I have a subscription through July/Aug. of 03 for ChilePepper and surely want
them to survive profitably as I love it!
