Luke, what kind of critter is a Kurrawong? I don't believe I've ever met
one of those, even in a book.
Usually spelled with a C, currawongs are like a cross between an
(australian) magpie and a raven. They hang around suburban areas and
generally run the place. Big black-and-white things, they just sort of stare
at you if you try to feed them or anything. Good looking, but not very
sociable.
