I wonder if you lads that are having fermenting growth problems are
haveing the same problems that new homebrewers have. By not
sterilizing your equipment before starting. In homebrewing, they recommend
washing and soaking all equipment with a 1/4 cup chlorine bleach per
gal. water, allowing a least 2 min contact to all surfaces. Then rinse or
allow to air dry until all trace oders of chlorine are gone. Yeast and
fungal infections are easy to get.

Remember you can not use Vagisel to cure yeast problems in food
or beer.
