[CH] Midwest Hotlucks and Other Things

Couldn't help noticing the posts about a potential Midwest Hotluck... being
in southern Wisconsin I'm definitely on the northern end of the Midwest,
but would be interested if it's within about 4 hours of Madison.

On another note, I found Walkers Wood Scotch Bonnet sauce at a local Asian
grocery today (Midway Asian on Park Street, for any CHers in striking
distance of Madison) for the truly derisory price of $1.49 a bottle.
Needless to say, I'll be going back to negotiate a case price... but the
difference in price between that location and others (I've seen the same
sauce for anywhere from $2.50 to $5.00) gave rise to a general question for
the sauce producers on the list. Realizing that nobody on the list produces
in the same quantities as, say, McIlhenny does, (do you?) what would you
estimate your cost of production per bottle to be- including labor, growing
expenses, bottling etc.?

Obviously, a lot of what you pay for a sauce is based on where you buy it,
as anyone who's ever been gouged at a Calido Chile Traders can attest, but
I'd be curious to know what the average comes out to be. Email me directly
if you don't think this is of sufficient interest for the list.
