My two cents on the question about DC restaurants with
some appeal for chile-heads.

I totally agree that some of our many Thai restaurants are
great.   I would recommend Busara's in upper Georgetown;
and Dungrats or the less formal spot Rabiengs both under
the same ownship and located in the same strip mall in
Bailey's Crossroads, VA.

In addition, our Ethiopian restaurants are worth sampling.
There are a number of them on 18th St. in Adams-Morgan.
My favorite for good food, no frills is the Red Sea.

As for the Red Sage, you've seen a bit of the diverse opinions.
Some of us locals consider it a tourist place, but hey, it sounds
like Mark who posted the question will be coming to town as
a visitor, so why not go for it. Other decent Tex-Mex places
are the Rio Grande, and the Austin Grill with different locations
around the area.
