Fill can, bottle with something that rattles, shake it and scare them away when they approach seedlings. Spray cat with a water pistol when they approach seedlings. Bitter apple spray can be purchased and sprayed on plants to make them taste bad to the cat but I found it doesn't work. Always outsmarted by my determined friends in fur. Karen E. Stober
