Can anyone give good information about saving seeds.
I have a lot from last years crop that I would like to save for this years
planting.
Most of the time I leave the fruit dry naturally intact, then tear it apart
after it's brittle.
It leaves me wondering if this is the best way to save the seeds.
Sometimes I cut the pepper open and take the seeds out, leaving them dry in
a strainer or screen.
Also, how long do I have to wait until I can plant the seed(s).
Do I have to wait for the seeds to dry to plant.
For example, this weekend I bought a few Pasilla's from the local market.
Very large and good form.
This years planting season is coming soon and I would like to try planting.
Do I have to wait for them to dry OR can I pop them into the ground, using
the normal 1/4 depth?
Are there any benefits to planting while they are still "fresh" and "moist".

It seems that since they don't need re-hydrated they may sprout sooner.
Any thoughts?
