Any magazine needs advertising to help foot the bills. But, no
magazine should become strictly a vehicle for "selling more pages". In
many of the magazines I read (especially computer magazines and Mother
Earth News) I get as much or more from the ad pages as I get from the
editorial content.

I had not bought a CP for a while. Then I picked one up last fall. I
was apalled at the fall off of signal:noise. I won't soon buy another.
