To protect eyes, nose, etc from an "explosion" of chile powder after
grinding same in electric grinder simply do this....
Zip-Loc makes JUMBO zip lock bags. Make diagnoal cuts across the
corners opposite the opening, just big enough to put your hands inside
the bag.
Grind the powder, put the container you want to transfer the powder to,
and the grinder inside the bag and 'zip' it closed.
Stick your hands in the corner holes, open the grinder, dump the powder
into the container and cover.
Remove your hands, wash, and leave the bag sit for a few minutes till
everything settles.

For several years I have used a plastic pillow case which zips at one
end, for this operation, but I realize that not everyone wants to go
looking for an item like this.
The Jumbo zip-loc bags are available at many markets. (They are
also perfect for holding sweaters, and for traveling, great for
organizing groups of small things that tend to shift about in a suitcase
or carry-all.
