>but sterile seed starting compost soil???????? That's what I started all mine in last weekend (not all, only 225, I still have another 50 or so to start). I've used it for the last 4 or 5 years. I use small plastic pots, 15 per tray (can be reused each year). No extra heat, either (but they are in front of a south-facing picture window, on shelves). Will flip on the florescent tubes when they sprout. Tom
