Does anyone have any experience with picking green chiles and letting them ripe afterwards? Is there any point at all doing it, tastewise? Just wondering, 'cause all the chiles I can buy at this time of the year seem to be huge, green "spanish peppers" (don't ask me for a formal name...), and they are kinda boring.
