Per Marjorie Willison "MG"   1999 Vesey's Seed Catalog

To increase yeids, pick off the top most center pepper
right after it has formed. Claims increases yeilds by 25%

I would assume this means near the end of the growing season.

Just found the data, so I have not had the chance to try it.
Thought I would pass it on since southern gardeners would
have a chance to try it before mine are ready Or maybe someone
in OZ land.
