For what it's worth Last year I tried to ripen a few pods on a window sill They rotted before ripening. At the threat of killing frost. I placed all my pods in plant trays, the grated bottom type. and placed them in my cellar - no sunlight and cool. About 90% of these pods ripened, Not quite as hot a vine ripened but not as cool as green. This was my first year of doing it this way, Lucky ?? Byron
