Kids,

Well, I've joined the ranks of people who wrote a letter to someone else,
then posted it to the list. Good thing I didn't write any family medical
history into that one. Sorry for the inconvenience.

James the Other asked about the upcoming hotluck in Madison, Indiana. I
used to have a browser bookmark for a chamber of commerce-type page for the
Madison area. As for lodgings, I'll be camping in Clifty Falls State Park,
which overlooks the town. The park has its own inn (Clifty Inn,
812-265-4135, according to this battered match pack). There are probably
several bed-and-breakfast places in the area. The town itself is an old
river town, with historic brick buildings like you'd see all up and down
the Ohio River valley. There are a few grand old mansions, too. The
winery is in the heart of the downtown, and from there you can easily make
up your own walking tour of the downtown.

I get there by taking I-71 through Cincinnati and south to exit 44, where I
take Rt. 277 north into Carrolton, KY. You can also take Rt. 421 north
directly into Madison. Once in town, follow your nose to the smoke,
because one way or another, someone will be cooking something at the
winery.

Hope to see you there.
