I used regular shop lights with regular bulbs to help grow my peppers after they germinated. They have done just fine! I set the lights on chains and set them 1-2 inches above the new peppers...raising them as the peppers grew. My peppers have now been transplanted into larger containers and some into the garden.... hope this helps! ~ Debra~ p.s Shop lights are very inexpensive and worth the purchase!
