Something I've noticed about shop lights, at least the cheaper ones, is that there is no reflector. I have greatly improved the efficeincy of mine by adding one made from metal flashing. If anybody is interested, I can e-mail instructions. It really helps capture the light from the sides of the bulbs and reflect it on the chile seedlings. Scott... KCK
