Or sometimes this is just a convention for linguistic pleasure. Standard
English doesn't use replication nearly as much as some other languages
(like some African ones, obviously), but even so we sometimes do related
things, e.g. 'super-duper' -- and I've read that Cockney dialect uses
replication a lot.
