[CH] Delurking

Hello all CH'ers!
I'm delurking now after I've read all of your mails on
the list the past few months.I can tell, that I'm on
the right list.
I'm growing 11 different chiles in pots (I don't havea
garden).
Last year I grew Scotch Bonnet, Serrano and Tabasco in
pots, after the 2. set of true leaves I put them in my
dad's garden all summer (very little sunshine that
summer). They didn't produce fruits and I took them
inside before the first frost came. Then they
blossomed and shortly after died on me, without even 1
fruit. Could it be due to the bad summer (lot of
rain,almost no sun)?
Anyway, I'm hoping for a better harvest this year.
