Hi I bought a few chilli plants at the Chilli Festival (which I
though was great). The Jalapeno plant is almost dead - I think due to
something eating the leaves mostly - it was well watered, in good sunlight
and well fertilised. The Habanero plant is doing well, despite also being
eaten a fair bit. What is likely to be eating them? I cannot find any of
the culprits. What is the best way to get rid of them? My return email is
gavnicole@bigpond.com.au. Thank you for your time and advice.
Gavin you need to find out what is eating them.
chilli plants will be prone to attack in winter as they are at their weekest
keep them as warm as possible with as much sun as possible.
they will look sick or deciduous but should pep up in spring when you
should put them in new potting mix in biggger pots and give them a feed.
Keep the jalapino away from frost.
I'll send your request on to the Chilli heads discussion group. They might
be able to offer some advice.
You should join the group for awhile it is very good.
