[CH] pink peppercorns, etc.

There seems to be some confusion about kinds of "peppercorns" here. To clarify:

Pink Peppercorns (Schinus terebinthifolius) are indeed related to Poison
Ivy (so are Cashews). It grows wild in Florida and is considered a pest --
since it harbors Black Scale disease (which threatens Orange trees), many
Floridians will not be happy to hear that anyone wants to plant it. (this
has been covered in depth before -- check the CH archives)

Szechuan Peppercorns (Zanthoxylum piperitum) is from a kind of Prickly Ash
that is not, as far as I know, grown commercially in the US. It may be
grown as a curiosity, however.

Black Pepper (Piper nigrum) -- of all varieties, including Tellicherry --
is a tropical shub or small tree that is not grown, AFAIK, inn the US
('though it is possible in in Hawaii).

None of these plants is related in any way to each other -- or to any of
the Capsicums we hold so near and dear.
