Frank,

When I put out my tomatillo plants this spring, I accidently broke one of
them off (what a clutz). Figuring I had nothing to lose, I just stuck the
top half of the plant in the ground. I did nothing
with except put it into the ground as if it was a whole plant. I'm happy to
announce that it is doing just fine and growing a month later. Make sure
you keep watered the first week or so.
