My current Suite 101 article features Chile-head Doug Irvine and his recipes

The heat is awful here in Mississippi and the drought. You know it's been a
hot day when you go outside in the evening and think it's really cool and
it's still 93 degrees! It was 103 today. The green beans have all but
died, got one bunch picked. The tomatoes look pretty good, but the peppers
are dropping blossoms and wilting badly during the day. I am watering
thoroughly twice a week. Thank goodness we have our own well!
I have already picked 3 jalapenos and have one large hab but it's still
green. This is my first time to grow them.
I hate to see what July and August have in store for us.
