As part of the Southern California Hotluck, I'm preparing a special
batch of homebrew. This time it's a "Red Savina Red Ale", made with some
of Jim Campbell's smoked habaneros! I tapped the keg the other day to
see how it was aging. You know, when I made this, I used about a
tablespoon of habanero flakes. I wanted to put in more, but Susie
thought it would be too much and would make the beer undrinkable. I'm
glad I listened to her! This stuff is HOT! Not as inflammatory as "The
Bread", but quite potent! It also tastes pretty good, I think. I believe
one other list member is planning on bringing homebrew, so we should
have a decent selection.

July 11th, 2:00 PM at our place in Oceanside, CA. Directions available
for those who need 'em! We'll provide drinks, plates, glasses, eating
utensils, etc. We will also have some ice cream on hand for cooling
down. I also think we'll have the couple that has come the furthest for
a hotluck, two of the list members from New Zealand will be here. Should
be an "interesting" afternoon!
