I have the 2900, I bought it about 7 years ago.   As I recall I paid
$159.00 from the Mfg. and shipping was free because they had a promotion
going.
I chose the 9 tray model because it gave me almost twice the area for
only 20 dollars more than the 5 tray.  (At that time)
The trays are large and do not have to be rotated because the heat
source and fan is in the rear. It is also very efficient.
It is great for making big batches of jerky, really BIG batches.
Some things are worth paying more for.   Kitchen-Aid mixers,  the
Vita-Mix  giant blender.
I have nothing to do with any of these companies, but my mixer is 30
years old and still going strong.
