The Extension service here (Virginia) released a report some time ago 
saying NOT to eat any produce grown using dog or cat dung.

Seems the little bugger carry, well, little bugs - parasites, to be 
exact - around in their stomachs, and excrete them as a matter of 
course.

This is serious - I had a parasite once (giardia) - and it's not 
something you'd want.  I was sick for a year; on antibiotics for more 
than two months; and lost 25 pounds.

So - plant those pepper elsewhere.
