Dear chili growers,
I've seen a lot of mails going around regarding slugs and other crawling
things attacking our dearest hot suppliers.
Have to admit that I haven't read all mail on this item so I don't know
if the option below is mentioned yet.....
We use cocoa-bean shells, just put a 2-3 cm thick layer of shells around
your plant ( or in the pot) or on the entire garden soil.
Slugs just hate's them, there to sharp to crawl over, and they bring you
more benefit than only protection of slugs, it also helps to prevent the
soil to dry-up to quick, keeps the weeds away and it is very effective
against cat's
We buy it at our local greenhouse for about $ 7,50 /50 liters, not cheap
put very good, not poisoning or killing anything and after a year or two
it will start to become a natural manure.....
Hopes my contribution can be of any help
Hot regards
Rob
