Just found a 96 REI Catalog on page 26 they have some Bison
brand ? belts, one has a Chile Pattern - description  follows.

On the fishing rod news-front just got sent a sample of rod
binding from a mate of mine whose brother in law does it for a
hobby {should do it for a job but he is just plain lazy}  Its a
Chile Pepper with RED HOT in capital letters under it. My mate
is buying me a Rod as a favour for some work that I did for him
and I am getting this Chile pepper and Chile-Head bound onto the
butt. Showed it to one of my wifes friends and she said " I used
to do rod binding for a job " so you never know do you 
otherwise I would have already had one made ..
