As a friendly Chile-head reminder, the Annual Chili Pepper Food
Festival in Bowers Park will be held Saturday, September 12th, at
Bowers Park, Bowers PA.

The annual festival is held at Bowers Park, Bowers, just south of
Kutztown, PA (just 30 minutes from Allentown/PA Turnpike).

Local and regional vendors are on hand all day with samples of their
HOT delights (the hot BBQ ribs are excellent every year!).  In
addition craft and pepper-wear vendors are always on hand.  Not to
mention the ice cream vendor to help cool your mouth at days end!

And to make the day all that much better for those Chili-heads who
have a need for fresh ones, right from the field, there is a farm
(Meadow View Farm) only 1/4 of a mile from the park that lets you
"Pick Your Own" right out of the field, with 160 varieties from which
you can pick.  The prices are good, and so are the peppers!

I'll be there, and hope some of you will be too!

Directions to Bowers Park, Bowers, PA

Lehigh Valley Exit (#33), take US-22 West.
Follow US-22 (which turns into I-78) to PA-100 South (Fogelsville).
Follow PA-100 to second light, turn right onto Schantz Road.
Follow Schantz Road to US-222 (Hamilton Street), and take 222 South
(towards Kutztown).
Follow US-222 to the SECOND Kutztown Exit (PA-737), turn left.
Follow PA-737 to FIRST light, make a right onto Main Street.
Follow Main Street to the first light and turn left (Noble Street).
Follow Noble Street out of Kutztown to the stop sign in Lyons, turn
left (Topton-Fleetwood Road).
Follow Topton-Fleetwood Road for 1 mile into Bowers, turn left (signs
for Bowers Park and the Festival should be easy to see).  
Bowers Park is on the left.



Follow US-222 North to PA-737, turn left
Then follow directions above starting with PA-737 directions.
