I was talking to my mom and this subject, due to the fact that the
apple trees that they grow on there property have been not producing
as much in the last few years. she told me that she know about the
decline in the bee population, she also told me that a friend of hers
is a local bee keeper here in the willamete valley he told her that
the comercial bee population is on the rise again because they have
found a type of insecticide that kill both types of mite and not the
bees, so they are able to put it into the hives to keep out the
infestations. so take heart all is not lost.
