....I am in Upstate NY and I am experiencing the same thing.  I grew long
red cayennes and they are potent!  My jalapenos will take your fillings out
and the habs.....YIKES!  And yes, I really love the taste of cayennes.  I
will try cooking them as you have.  I have some drying right now.

Fasten your seat belt and enjoy your interplanetary journeys!  I may see
you again from my garden patch!
