I subscribe to 4 or 5 food related mailing lists, and without exception
they all share the same lack of members in the NYC area. I've had to
travel to Boston or DC to meet up with any folks from these lists. I
actually travelled to Albuquerque to the Fiery Foods Festival last march,
only to run into half a dozen chileheads from the NJ area. I even ran into
Blair of "Blairs Beyond Death" fame, and he runs a Tavern about 8 miles
from my home. But he's not online!

I've been wanting to make that festival for years, but something always
seems to get in the way...
This year I hope to actually make it!
