Jim,

    As you know, it's very difficult to positively identify a chile pepper
from just a photo, but the pepper in your photo looks very much like a Datil
to me.  If it has a mildly sweet fruity flavor, relatively high heat, and
the aroma and flavor characteristic of Habaneros, I'd say it's a Datil.
