Hi all, we call this 'Dipping' sauce in the UK, its Hot & Sweet. A good make
is Namjai in the UK (imported from Thialand, available from Harvey Nicks).

Its made from palm sugar, vinegar,water,chilli, garlic & salt. Its good for
'dipping' into with crackers, spring rolls, dim sum etc.
