Noticed a fair number of new growers on this list
I am going to make some suggestions to you.
While you are watching you new seedlings pop up go out to the garden and get
some soil and have a soil test done. Get the following minimum.
NPK, Calcium and Magnesium and soil pH.
If you decide to apply lime, remember that the instructions on an 80lb bag
of lime is in POUNDS PER ACRE. If you calculate it out and are over 2 lbs
per 100 sq ft, go back and recheck your math.
I have also found in my garden (Ok Jim?) that low nitrogen fertilizers like
5-10-10, 5-10-3 ~~somewhere in that range~~, Gives me higher pod yeilds,
hotter pods and less bugs.
