I don't know what to do now. I took the foil off my seedlings, but do I keep
heating them or can they sit on the windowsil without any problem?

Chiles seedlings and plants do not like cold wet feet. They will sit and sulk,
refusing to grow. Keep them moist not soggy wet. Keeping the soil temp up to at
least 70F promotes growth. To keep seedlings from growing long, skinny and week
stemmed, they need 10-12 hours of good direct light each day. Windowsill
growing has a few problems; generally not enough light in most settings and
unless you have triple glazed windows the area near a window is coldest area of
the room. The lack of light makes the seedlings grow long (climbing to the
light) and bend towards the source (closer to the cold window), not an ideal
environment for producing sturdy plants.

I finally got a camera and can now post pics to my sight. Have added a few so
far to different areas. Still have not been able to get as good of picture as I
would like, but I'm learning. Will be concentrating on the growing tips page
(http://usHOTstuff.com/Growing.Tips.htm) for the next month or so. Camera also
has the ability to take 60 second movies. Will be experimenting with this
multimedia critter in hopes of producing "how to" clips on starting seeds, pest
control, smoke drying Chiles, etc.
