Hello Niallx,

There probably isn't much value in knowing the density
of compost, unless you are concerned about whether your
compost heap will float away or wash away in a flood.
This is simply part of another off-topic thread. Like most
threads, they started out on-topic, but morphed into some-
thing different somewhere along the way. They come and
go around here fairly regularly.
Personally, I like the way it has challenged my one-time
mastery of some long dormant math/science skills.

Somewhat more in a direction considered relatively on-topic:

I was transplanting more seedlings yesterday, lamenting
the task of discarding some due to lack of garden space,
when my sweet wife piped up with, "Why don't you expand
the garden?" D'OH!...

I have the spare lumber just sitting around, waiting for a
good cause. I think I found it.
