The open fields event is the 23rd and 24th of September.  It is where
chileheads of all sorts come & camp in my chile fields and help
themselves to whatever they care to pick and take.  I usually have more
than I can harvest & am happy to share the wealth.  Come & camp or stay
at anyone of several hotels within a 20 mile radius.  Watch for
announcements later in the year.

A chipotle is a pecan or mesquite smoked jalapeno.  The term is
degenerating into any type of smoked chile though.  If you'd like a
picture of a chipotle, go to the store and look at a prune.  Now pretend
it is a chile and there you have it :-)
