[CH] Do we need our own webring?

A question for the list - since we have more web sites among us all the
time, should we create a webring for sites owned by chile head list members?

We already have the list of member pages compiled by =Mark, and there is
already the Ring of Fire. But a webring of member pages would perform a
slightly different function.

Like =Mark's list, it could be devoted specifically to pages related
directly to this list, but people could edit their own information. Like
the Ring of Fire, it would be a webring with all its user options, but
devoted to c-h list members.

I suggest that appropriate pages would include any chile-related personal or
commercial site run by any list member who wishes to share the site with the
rest of the list. For example, personal cooking pages, sauce and seed
sellers, collections of hotluck images and chile galleries, and pages of
chile links would all fit in.

With Mike B's permission, we could call it the Chile Heads Web Ring (I
haven't checked to see whether anyone is already using that name). Some
person or group of people would have to take the responsibility of
administering it. I'd be willing to share in that task.

So, can we have a show of raw knuckles from those interested? Or should I
stuff heatless jalapenos into my nostrils and march into Lake Erie?

- A
