Good Evening. Don't you love the name of this pepper? Yes, yes. I went
back to that grocery store today and got some more or them, a pound in
fact. They had a newer selection from last week. Where they are getting
them from, I haven't asked them yet. However, this is a "Mexican-oriented"
market in Pittsburg, Texas. (They even play Mexican muzak.)
At any rate, I got some really green ones, some green-turning-to-yellow
ones, some yellow ones, some golden ones, and some golden-turning-to-brown
ones. I assume that the brownish tinge is the prelude to the final change
to a red color. I would love to find some red ones, as I like the flavor
change in all peppers when they convert to the red stage.
So, I'll do a little survey of taste and heat and get back to you in a few
days with the results of my "research". Roberto
